SEND Assessment and Review Service
Most children and young people's special educational needs can be met by their education setting.
If the school, professionals and others feel they need extra resources to meet the child or young person's potential they must apply to their local authority for a needs assessments.
The SEND Assessment and Review Team will:
- coordinate an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment
- prepare and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- make sure provision is in place to meet the requirements of the EHCP
- help you with any questions about a child or young person's EHCP, EHC Needs Assessment or annual reviews
They follow the requirements of the SEN Code of Practice.
