- Apply for planning permission
Anyone can apply for planning permission. It does not have to be the person who owns the land or buildings.
If you're not the owner or full owner, you will need to tell the owner or co-owners.
You can appoint a planning agent or another qualified professional like a builder or architect to apply for you.
How to submit a planning application
You can apply, upload supporting documents and calculate fees on the Planning Portal.
The benefits of applying online include:
- drafting your applications before submission
- immediate delivery and acknowledgement
- a streamlined payment process
- savings on postage and printing costs
- guidance at every stage and step-by-step video tutorials
- an online record of your completed application
Other ways to apply
Download our planning forms from the Planning Portal. You can then email them to planningapps@royalgreenwich.gov.uk
We publish all application documents on our statutory planning register.
