Every day costs
There are several low-cost food options and community groups across Royal Greenwich for anyone who needs help to afford food.
Join a local food pantry
If you are struggling to afford groceries and food, join a local food pantry. It costs £3.50 a week for £20 worth of food, so you can feed your whole family for much less.
Food banks through LiveWell
If you are struggling to afford food or utility bills, you can contact LiveWell Greenwich for advice and support, who can refer you to food banks if you need food bank vouchers.
Cookery clubs and community kitchens
You can learn how to cook cheap, nutritious meals for your family for free, through local cookery clubs run by the Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency (GCDA).
You can get free monthly community meals at rotating community centres across the borough.
Broadband and phone packages
You could get support paying your internet and phone bills through social tariffs.
You may be eligible for free or discounted travel through Transport for London Services (TfL).
Borrow household items
You can borrow a range of useful products, from hoovers to sewing machines, at much lower cost to buying them, at Woolwich Library.
