What’s allowed in our parks and open spaces
Our parks and open spaces are for everyone to enjoy. We have a set of byelaws that outline what’s allowed. To keep them safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.

What we allow
We allow:
- mobility scooters
- dogs, but you must:
- have a maximum 4 dogs with you
- clean up after them
- keep them under control and be considerate of other park users
What we do not allow
- Advertising and posting notices
- Barbecues and fires
- Drones
What you’ll need permission for
You must get permission to carry out any of these activities in our parks or open spaces:
- busking and performances
- fireworks displays
- trading or selling goods
- horse riding
- flyposting
- erecting tents, marquees and other temporary structures

Events
You’ll need to apply to host an event in a park or open space. You cannot host events outside areas where permission has been granted.
