Rent a garage
Our garage waiting list is currently full and we do not have enough available garages. Applications and the waiting list are currently closed.
We have a limited number of garages and parking spaces available to rent in Royal Greenwich.
We prioritise the waiting list into groups based on things like:
whether you’re a council tenant or leaseholder
how close the garage is to your home
whether you or someone in your household is disabled
Check who gets priority for a garage
We only let a garage so that you can use it to store a vehicle, usually a car. We will refuse applications for garages to be used for any other reason.
Our standard garage size is 7ft wide and 6ft 4 high. Some of our garages are smaller than this. We do not have any garages larger than this.
Cost of renting a garage
You must pay garage rent by monthly Direct Debit.
Prices are graded A to C according to the standard of the garage and where it is.

Rents are higher for people who are not council tenants or leaseholders, as the total amount will include VAT.

You could get a 20% discount if you or someone in your household is disabled. Check the proof you'll need to provide.

How to apply
Our garage waiting list is currently full and we do not have enough available garages. Applications and the waiting list are currently closed.
If you’ve previously applied, you'll stay on the waiting list. We'll contact you when a garage becomes available.
You do not need to call to check on your application.
What happens next
If we offer you a garage, we'll meet you at the garage so that you can check if it’s big enough for your vehicle. If you want to rent it, you’ll then need to sign a rental agreement with us.
