About gambling permits
We issue gambling permits to premises where gambling is not the main function.
The permit allows activities that include:
- low-stakes gambling
- prize gambling
- gaming such as poker
- gaming machines.
The type of premises eligible to apply for a gambling permits include:
- unlicensed family entertainment centres
- premises with an alcohol licence where alcohol is served from behind a bar, and there are no licence conditions making alcohol sales secondary to food sales
- clubs - both commercial and non-commercial
- those wanting to offer commercial prize gaming

- club gaming and club machine permits
- licensed premises gaming machine permit
- prize gaming permits
