Special Educational Needs Inclusion Fund (SENIF)

What happens after applying for SENIF

Once a professional has submitted the SENIF application:

  • they should get a decision back within 2 weeks. As long as the information and application had enough detail
  • they will receive a letter with the decision. This includes details on when the funding will be reviewed and any paperwork the setting needs to send for the review
  • they will share this information with the family and early years setting

Sometimes a decision will be harder to make and will need to go to an Early Years SEN Inclusion Fund panel to decide.
