How to apply

To apply through us, you need to complete our online application form.

Before you start the application form

Check whether you need to apply through us or direct to the school if you want to change primary school or change secondary school.

Be aware that:

  • you need to complete the online form in one go
  • the form will time out after 10 minutes of inactivity
  • you need relevant information to hand before you start the form

You’ll need to provide:

  • your child’s details
  • their current or previous school
  • proof of guardianship if you’re not the child’s parent, such as a guardianship order or court order
  • your main home address
  • proof of your home address
  • the reason for your application and any supporting evidence

Proof of address

If you’re registered with us for Council Tax, you do not need to provide any other proof of address.

If you’re not registered with us for Council Tax, you will need to provide proof of address.

You may not be registered with us because you:

  • rent from or live with family or friends
  • live outside Royal Greenwich

You’ll need to provide:

Scan or take a photo of your documents and make sure the file size is less than 2MB. Do not send original documents.

Send your proof of address to us by:
