Submit notice
You will need to give us two days notice before starting any work that requires notice.
To do this, we need the information on the form and a block plan of the site.
You may need to provide further details such as:
- technical drawings
- structural engineers package
- drainage layouts
- specifications
We will not provide formal approval of the plans. You should only use a building notice for simple work. For example, a through room, chimney removal or drainage alteration.
If you are doing more complex work, you may need to make a full plans application.
Before you submit a building notice
Charges apply to this service.

If you do not own the property, you should talk to your landlord about your proposals.
If your works need approval and you do not apply or get the work checked, you could may fact prosecution. You may also need to dismantle or remove the work.
