With a disabled persons Freedom Pass, you can travel on public transport for free in London. You can also use buses for free in England.

You can use the pass on buses before 9am and on other public transport from 9:30am.

Types of Freedom Pass and when to apply

There are 2 types.

Disabled persons Freedom Pass

Adults can apply. You can also apply for a child from age 11.

You must apply to us.

All children under 5 are entitled to free travel on all public transport in London. This is the same for children aged 5 to 11 if they're with an adult.

Older persons Freedom Pass

You can get this when you reach state pension age.  

You must apply to London Councils.
