Council events and meetings

Non-essential events have been postponed or cancelled to help safeguard against the spread of COVID-19.

The council is doing whatever it can to make sure events can take place at a later date or make alternative arrangements. Please note changes to the following events and check the council website for further announcements:

Comittees and meetings

Since the introduction of the Coronavirus Act 2020, the Council will now hold some meetings remotely via Zoom. You can check which meetings are being held on the calendar of meetings.

To request to speak at a meeting, you will need to register at at least 48 hours in advance.

Anyone can watch a meeting live, and for one year afterwards, on the Council’s YouTube Channel.


Ward Councillor surgeries

Surgeries are cancelled until further notice. 


Royal Greenwich Civic Awards

Our Civic Awards were due to be held in March at Woolwich Town Hall. We have been overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of nominations this year and will look forward to announcing the winners at a later date.

Citizenship ceremonies

Ceremonies are postponed until further notice. We want to welcome you as a citizen as soon as we can and we’ll be in touch when we have a rearranged date. In the meantime, if you have any questions please email
