Vote for the first round of local Community Champions COVID-19 projects
The first Voting Day was held on 27 March 2021 - thank you to everyone who took part. Look out for details on this website on the next round of voting, coming soon!
Following our recent successful bid for Community Champions funding for local COVID-19 projects that support residents who are most at risk from COVID-19, we are holding a Community Voting Day event on 27 March for you to have your say and vote on the project that matters most to you.
We asked residents to submit bids, from £500 to £2,000, to spend on a community project of their own creation, to tackle the negative effects coronavirus has had on our communities made worse by not being able to access digital services, by developing solutions to receive, understand and share key COVID-19 messages.
The borough has been split into four areas where community projects have been put forward for funding consideration:
- Thamesmead Moorings
- Woolwich Common
If you live in one of these areas, you are invited to take part in a virtual voting day event on Saturday 27 March to decide how local money is spent in your community. Project organisers will present their projects and at the end you will be able to vote, with the full results shared at the end.
Please note – you must be a resident living in one of the four key areas to be entitled to vote.
