Create grants fund
Create is our small arts funding programme for freelancers, creative practitioners, community groups and cultural organisations in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
You can apply for a grant to run a project that:
- is free for residents to attend or take part in
- brings together diverse communities
- builds partnerships between artists and community groups
- brings life to public spaces and attracts local audiences
Projects you can apply for
To apply for a Create grant, you'll need to send your application as either a Community Arts project or a Black History 365 project.
Community Arts projects
These projects must be new arts and cultural activities in the borough. We would also like to see projects that highlight underrepresented areas or support awareness events like International Women’s Day, Pride or Refugee Week.
Black History 365 projects
These are projects that showcase the culture and heritage of Black diaspora communities and celebrate the contribution of African and Caribbean communities in Royal Greenwich.
Who can apply
We especially welcome applications from artists, creative practitioners and cultural organisations who have not received Royal Greenwich culture funding in the last 2 years.
You must also:
- be aged 18 or over
- live or work in the Royal Borough of Greenwich
- apply in the legal name of the individual or organisation
- have a bank account in that legal name
- not be in default on any previous Royal Greenwich funding
