Apply to be a Create Community Advisory Panel member

We are looking for two panels (aged 18 and over) to make recommendations for our Create: Community Arts programme, and our Create: Black History programme. Find out more about the Create grant fund

As a Create Community Advisory Panel member, you will play a crucial role in supporting innovative projects for our residents to enjoy, contributing to the cultural development of our borough, and gain valuable experience in arts and culture governance.

You will review and score all eligible applications against the published criteria, all recommendations will be reviewed by the Culture team and then final recommendations shared with the Cabinet Member for Equalities, Culture, and Communities.

For your valuable time and effort, freelance panel members will be compensated with the London Living Wage (£14.80 per hour) for a maximum of two days (up to 14 hours). This will include up to one day for reading and scoring applications and attending the recommendation meeting on the proposed dates 21 May 2026 for Create: Community Arts, and 25 May 2026 for Create: Black History, both from 5pm to 7pm. Both dates are to be confirmed.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich will send eligible proposals for scoring before the recommendation meeting, providing you with the necessary support and resources.

Panel members will be expected to act as independent reviewers, ensuring a fair and objective review for all the eligible applications.

Meetings will be held at The Woolwich Centre, but there will be an option to join online.

How to apply

We are seeking local people who live, work, or study in the borough and enjoy participating in the arts, heritage and cultural sectors, whether that involves attending events or performances or creating and producing artworks.

If this sounds like you and you would like to be part of the Create Community Advisory Panels for 2026, please answer the following:

  • your name, organisation (if any), full address, email and phone number
