Drafting our new Local Plan

We’re asking for your views on our new draft Local Plan for the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This document will guide how our borough grows and changes over the next 15 years.

The Local Plan sets out a long-term vision for the borough:

  • How and where new homes, jobs and community spaces will be created.
  • How we protect our green spaces and heritage.
  • How we respond to the climate emergency.
  • How we make sure growth benefits everyone.

This new draft Plan has been shaped by extensive evidence and earlier engagement with local people, community organisations, and partners. It brings together the key challenges and opportunities facing Royal Greenwich.
