Apply for a market trader licence

You need a market trader licence if you want to trade at Beresford Square Market.

You do not need a market trader licence from us if you want to trade at any other market in the borough. This is because we do not operate those markets. You need to contact the relevant market operator directly to find out how to trade at their market.

When you can trade

A market trader licence allows you to trade at Beresford Square Market, Monday to Saturday.

If your application for a market trader licence is successful, we’ll contact you about Sunday trading.

A market trader licence lasts for a year, from 1 April to 31 March. If you apply for the first time midway through the year, your first licence will be shorter.
