Who can get support from the council
You may be eligible for support if you have a condition, illness, disability or addiction that impacts your daily life and wellbeing.
For example, stops you from doing daily activities such as:
- food shopping and preparing food and drink
- washing yourself and your clothes
- getting dressed or undressed
- going to work, college or volunteering
- keeping your home clean and safe to live in
- getting around your home and transferring to the toilet safely
- getting to medical appointments or collecting medication
- getting out to meet people and doing social activities
- looking after a child who is in your care
You can get support if you’re unable to do these tasks safely without support. Or if doing them causes you pain, distress or anxiety.
