Councillor Averil Lekau, Cabinet Member for Housing and Anti-Poverty gave a presentation summarising the borough's plans to tackle poverty and the progress made so far.

Residents took part in interactive voting games and had the opportunity to ask questions as well as make comments on the presentation.

This was followed by a presentation on the early development of a new housing strategy to manage the housing need within the borough. Residents once again took part in some interactive voting which helped indicate local priorities for the future housing strategy.

After the presentations, everyone took part in group discussions with local ward councillors around key housing themes. These themes included housing need, housing development, management of existing stock and more. The responses from the round table discussions will be used to influence the further development of a new strategy.
