Timetable for school admission appeals
These timetables apply to all schools where we are the admissions authority.
Appeals received before the deadline

Appeals received after the deadline
All appeals received after the appeal deadline will be heard within 40 school days of receiving them. This applies to both primary and secondary school appeals.
Other types of appeal

| Sixth form admissions | Within 30 school days of receiving the appeal or for offers dependant on exam results, within 30 school days of receiving the results |
How we schedule appeals
An appeal clerk who is independent of the council will:
- arrange for your appeal to be heard
- write to you well before the hearing to tell you the date, time and venue
You’ll also receive:
- more information about the appeal process
- an explanation of how the appeal panel will reach its decision
Your appeal is likely to be heard along with other appeals.
