Identify a flytipper or share information about fly-tipping

We're taking action against illegal dumping (flytipping) to keep the borough clean and tidy.

If you witness or have information about someone fly-tipping, tell us and we'll investigate it.

If someone is fly-tipping now, call the police on 101. Do not approach or confront them or search through the rubbish yourself.

What you can tell us

You can share information anonymously about:

  • the fly-tipper shown on images or video
  • fly-tipping you witnessed and when it happened
  • what type of waste was left
  • any information about who was involved

You can also upload photos or videos if you have any

You can do this anonymously or leave your contact details. We'll only contact you if we need to

What happens next

We investigate all reports of people fly-tipping. If we have enough information, we can:

  • issue a fine
  • prosecute fly-tippers
  • serve notices on owners or occupiers for untidy land that causes nuisance
  • serve statutory notices
  • serve community protection notices
  • seize vehicles used to illegally dump rubbish or transfer waste

If the fly-tipper is successfully prosecuted, you could receive a £100 reward.
