What happens next

We'll inspect your property within 1 month of receiving your application.

We check the road for things like safety and parking, and we take measurements.

We'll then approve or reject your application based on our residential dropped kerb policy.

We'll give you our decision in writing by email.

If we approve your application

If you already have a driveway, we'll include a quote with our decision letter and details about how to pay.

If you do not have a driveway, you must not build it until we have inspected and approved your application, and instruct you do build it.

The quote is valid for 3 months and the approval is valid for 12 months.

After you pay, it can take up to 12 weeks to install your dropped kerb. We'll tell you 48 hours before we start the work.

If we reject your application

We'll explain the reasons in our decision letter.

If your application is rejected, you may be eligible to apply for a disabled parking space near your home.

If you do not agree with our decision, you can ask us to review it. You must do this in writing and include the reasons why you believe we have not applied our policy criteria correctly.

We will not review our decision if we reject your application based on your driveway measurements
