Check if your driveway is eligible
Your driveway must be a solid surface, paved with a suitable hard or permeable material, like block paving, asphalt or concrete. We will not approve your application if the material is not suitable for parking. This includes if it's made of grass, gravel or other loose material.
Your driveway must also:
- be at least 2.5 metres wide
- be at least 4.8 metres long from the front of your property to where the pavement starts or be 5.8 metres long if the parking area is in front of the properties main entrance
- have suitable drainage so rain does not run from your garden onto the road
If you do not have a driveway, you must apply for a dropped kerb first. Do not build your driveway until we approve your application.
