The nomination deadline for the Best of Royal Greenwich Awards has been extended. Businesses now have until Wednesday 27 September 2023 to make a nomination.

If you know a local business that you think deserves recognition, make sure they nominate before the new deadline.

Nominations are open to businesses of all types and sizes within the borough. Entering the awards can raise your profile, give you positive publicity, and help you attract new customers and business partners.

This year’s awards offer 12 categories to choose from, and businesses can enter a maximum of two of the following categories: 

  • Best Food & Drink Venue sponsored by Drury Tea and Coffee  
  • Best New Business sponsored by University of Greenwich  
  • Greener Greenwich sponsored by The O2 
  • Health and Wellbeing sponsored by GLL-Better   
  • High Street Retailer sponsored by Hindwoods  
  • Innovation sponsored by Alcatel Submarine Networks  
  • Made in Greenwich sponsored by Grant Saw  
  • Market or Mobile trader award sponsored by London City Airport  
  • Online Business award sponsored by Digital Greenwich Connect 
  • Professional Service sponsored by Berkeley Homes  
  • Tourism and Culture sponsored by Uber Boat by Thames Clippers  
  • Workforce Development sponsored by London South East Colleges   

The shortlist will be announced in October, with nine of the category winners, and the overall winner, chosen by the judging panel. Best Food and Drink, High Street Retailer, Market & Mobile Trader will be selected by public vote, which will open in mid-October.

The awards are run in association with Headline Sponsor LandsecU+I and supported by the South East London Chamber of Commerce. The glittering awards ceremony will be taking place on Friday 10 November

The sixth year of the awards aims to celebrate the brilliant variety and character of businesses in Royal Greenwich. The awards are free to enter, and open to all businesses in Royal Greenwich. Shortlisted businesses will be in the running to win 12 category awards and the Overall Prize, with £3000 prize money sponsored by Willmott Dixon.

Meet the Judges event

All businesses in Royal Greenwich interested in the awards are invited to our Meet the Judges event on Tuesday 26 September, 6:30pm to 8:30pm. 

This event is a chance to come together, informally speak to this year’s judges to benefit from their expertise, and network with other businesses based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
