This category includes hotels, restaurants, pubs, and cafés. Nominees must explain how they have gained support from their customers with good quality food and drink, great or convenient service, or a great customer experience. The winner will be chosen by public vote, from the nominees shortlisted by the judges.

This is a new category to identify new businesses established not more that 2 years ago, as at 15 July 2022. Nominees must show how they have taken an idea and turned it into a new business which has gained traction and support from their customers (and investors, if relevant), by providing a quality product or service and/or good value for money, and/or a great customer experience. They can also show how they are helping their sector move confidently past the COVID-19 pandemic.

Greener Greenwich Award

This celebrates organisations that can prove great consideration for the environment and the climate emergency. Examples of your work could include the use of green / clean technology to create goods and services in the borough. Applicants should be able to show how successful greener working is having a positive impact on the local environment for example, plastic reduction or protection of scarce resources.

Royal Greenwich has a young and diverse population, and we are known for supporting entrepreneurial talent. This category is open to any young person under the age of 30, as at 15 July 2022, who has developed a business idea and brought this to market. It is also open to anyone who wants to recognise a young entrepreneur, within their organisations, that has made a significant contribution to developing new ideas, projects or services.
