Residents can now get support in the way that best suits them.

Live Well Greenwich offers advice face-to-face, over the phone and online. They can provide information on a wide range of issues that impact on health and wellbeing, including debt and finance, work and training, housing and social isolation.

Representatives from independent charity The Health Foundation and innovation and improvement science centre Haelo visited the Live Well Greenwich call centre and Live Well Coaches and Champions at Ferryview Health Centre on Thursday 8 March to see the team in action.

'Flexible support to live well'

Councillor David Gardner, Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said: "It was great to share the fantastic work Live Well Greenwich is doing with The Health Foundation and Haelo.

"Live Well Greenwich allows residents to access help and advice in a way that suits them. By offering this flexibility, Royal Greenwich is ensuring that residents can easily get the support they need to live well.

Residents can benefit from up to six 45-minute face-to-face sessions with Live Well coaches in selected community settings for signposting and support.

Join to improve staff well-being

One-to-one advice is available over the phone six days a week via the Live Well Greenwich call centre and the Greenwich Community Directory website is an easy to use resource listing health and social care services.

Local organisations and groups are being encouraged to become part of Live Well Greenwich to help improve staff health and wellbeing, leading to positive knock-on effects for the wider community.

The Council commissions Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) to deliver the Live Well Greenwich line and CACT are part of a network of local Live Well Coaches who can provide signposting and support.

Free training available

Anyone who works or volunteers in Royal Greenwich can complete the free Make Every Opportunity Count one hour e-learning training to increase their knowledge of health and wellbeing, improve customer service and job satisfaction and know when, where and how to best signpost people.
