We classify certain streets with high traffic as 'traffic-sensitive'.

This means that companies must provide more advanced warning of proposed works on these streets.

Traffic-sensitive designation review notification

We're considering introducing a lane rental scheme on some of our streets.

This is in accordance with the Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (England) Regulations 2012 (the Lane Rental Regulations) made under Section 74A of the NRSWA 1991.

Before we consult on our lane rental scheme proposals, we've reviewed our traffic-sensitive streets.

We're providing the required one month stakeholder notification of our proposed traffic sensitive designations.

This is in accordance with Section 64 of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA)1991 and Regulation 16, The Street Works (Registers, Notices, Directions and Designations) (England) Regulations 2007.
