Apply for a business exemption permit

Businesses will only be exempt if they meet the exemption criteria. 

Vehicles will be exempt if they’re: 

  • emergency vehicles 
  • taxi cabs (hackney carriages)  
  • private hire vehicles registered with TfL 

You may also be exempt if:  

  • you’re an organisation that qualifies for a Blue badge 
  • you're a professional carer whose ability to help the person they care for is impacted by an LTN 
  • your organisation transports disabled people or people with access needs 

How to apply for a business exemption permit 

If you’re applying under this criteria, you will need to: 

  • create or log into your business parking permit account 
  • select ‘Business LTN’ 
  • complete the form and upload your proof

If you are a business but are applying for an exemption permit due to your own or your child's disability or condition, you must apply for a resident exemption permit.

Proof you need to provide 

To apply for a business LTN exemption permit, you will need to provide:  

  • proof of caring duties such as a care plan that describes your duties and locations you visit from the care agency or NHS Trust 
  • a scan or photo of both sides of your organisation’s Blue Badge or proof of vehicle compliance within Section 19 and 22 of the Transport Act 
  • proof of license registration with Transport for London and Proof of Public Carriage Office Insurance
