Holiday Fun Fridays – free, family days
Holiday Fun Fridays are taking place on five Fridays through the summer school holidays, giving families some fantastic, FREE, ideas on how to keep the kids entertained.
Each Friday in the school summer holiday, General Gordon Square in Woolwich will be festooned with colour, with lively free entertainment and activities for children (and grown-ups!), market stalls featuring gifts and treats from local businesses as well as fab food from across the world to tempt your tastebuds.

Along with the activities, local businesses will be selling craft and an array of locally made produce (fresh bakery, juices, bath products, home fragrance, natural and holistic products, jewellery, books and more).
And be prepared for some unexpected live performances around the Square, as part of our Royal Greenwich Festivals summer season!
All our events are operated in a COVID-safe and friendly environment and are full accessible.
What’s on and when
|30 July||Appearing as part of our Royal Greenwich Festivals summer programme, the day will be packed full of lively performances from Emergency Exit Arts and Tramshed Arts, step into the virtual reality world of The Glitch in the Wardrobe, create your own Ideal Palace workshop, experience science and exercise combined with AlgoRHYTHM, and La Confusione of Arlecchino and his Mates (think comedy of errors) will join stalls and activities for all the family.|
|6 August||As part of the Royal Greenwich Festivals, Black Female Entrepreneur Greenwich brings the Africa Cultural Heritage Festival to this week’s fun Friday. Enjoy all things African, including contemporary Afrobeat dance, traditional drumming, fashion, workshops in accessories and raffia weaving, food, musical performances and more!|
|13 August||This week Global Fusion Music and Arts brings Royal Greenwich Festivals to our Friday fun time. Featuring a lively day of music from across the world, along with children’s activities and meet the mascot, cricket, basketball and football.|
|20 August||Greenwich Dance brings a bit of energy to our regular Friday fun. The dance sessions will see NRg workshops for all ages, plus Boppin' Bunnies will be there for the under fives alongside stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy.|
|27 August||A taste of Brazil from Royal Greenwich festivals at this week’s event. The vibrant Foila Festival, by TARU Arts provides family-friendly dance, drumming and craft workshops, sharing the vibrant and exciting Brazilian culture within our community.|
