Opportunities via Greenwich Local Labour and Business
Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB) work with local employers to promote job vacancies for local people.

Weekly jobs email
You can find out what other support you can receive and register with GLLaB to receive a weekly 'Hot Jobs' email, which includes the latest opportunities.

Local residents can also visit the GLLaB Community Outreach Bus to get help with job search, CVs, interview techniques and find out about job opportunities. Our staff will be on board to help you.
The bus visits each location every two weeks on the following days and times:
- Tuesdays: General Gordon Square, Woolwich (10am to 4pm)
- Tuesdays: Passey Place, Eltham (10am to 2pm)
- Wednesdays (Weekly): Town Centre, Thamesmead (10am to 4pm)

- Fridays: Greenwich Islamic Centre, Plumstead (11am to 4pm)
Extra support's available on the bus from trained Work Ambassadors (provided by Volunteer Centre Greenwich).
Apprenticeships and work experience
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for a real employer and gain a real qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience. Apprenticeships are not age restricted and the money you earn can vary depending on the employer.
Post 16 trainee and apprenticeships
You can undertake a traineeship or an apprenticeship after you finish year 11. Applying for an apprenticeship is like applying for a job. If you're not ready for an apprenticeship, you can apply for a traineeship instead.
Job fairs and open days
We regularly arrange job fairs and open days with local employers.
