Greenwich in Bloom 2020
The borough’s annual gardening competition is returning and we want you to get involved!
We know that spending such a long time at home hasn’t been easy, but if you’re a budding gardener it might have given you more time to tend to your gardens or window boxes. Are you a green fingered resident with fantastic flowers to prove it? Now’s the time to celebrate all your hard work! You don't need to have a garden to enter - there’s a category for hanging baskets, window boxes or pots - you just need to be passionate about planting!
This year we’ve included an exciting new category, which is just for our young gardeners out there! The children’s category is to showcase the talents of our younger residents and there’s even a £15 voucher for the winner! Every child that enters will also get a packet of seeds.
Winners of the other four categories will win £100 for first place, £50 for second and £25 for third in Coolings Garden Centre vouchers.
Check out some of last year's winners to get some inspiration:

How to enter Greenwich in Bloom
The competition is open from Friday 29 May and ends the evening of Sunday 28 June. The entries will be assessed by independent judges Cabinet Member for Culture and Communities, Adel Khaireh, the Mayor Linda Bird and the Deputy Mayor Denise Hyland. Due to the current circumstances, the judges will not be able to visit the gardens in person, so entries will be judged by their photos alone.
If you have an issue applying online then please email email@example.com or call 0208 856 0100 and the team will try and find an alternative way for you to enter.
If you wish to enter more than one category you can do so, but you must enter each category separately.
The competition is only open to residents in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and is open to amateurs only.
