Join us for an afternoon of family friendly performances, workshops, games and community fun! Following the success of last year’s event, we are once again bringing you professional and community performances, interactive games, talks and workshops.

Due to the weather forcast, the event has been moved from Queenscroft Park to Middle Park Community Centre.

This year’s exciting event is hosted by André Bright. The line-up includes:

1 pm Hikapee – Everywhere’s a Beach A high energy, theatrical circus show which takes place on a giant parasol!

1:30 pm Costa Rica in the UK A beautiful display of Costa Rican culture. Get ready to join in!

2 pm The RCCG Church Choir Uplifting gospel music

2:20 pm Traceworks Juniors Young, creative contemporary dance

2:25 pm Kerry On Dancing Multi-generational ballroom, Latin American and street dance

2:40 pm 56 Woolwich Squadron RAF Cadets Band One of the largest RAF marching bands in London

3 pm Hikapee – Everywhere’s a Beach

3:30 pm Costa Rica in the UK

4 pm UK Latin Community A colourful Latin American dance performance

4:15 pm Dancing to the Music of Time A performance by participants from Greenwich Dance’s community programme

4:20 pm Waggle Dance Co. A high-energy creative dance that’s family friendly and lots of fun!

4:35 pm Voices of Mauritius A colourful celebration of Mauritian dance and music

4:50 pm 56 Woolwich Squadron RAF Cadets Band One of the largest RAF marching bands in London

5 pm TARU Arts Brazilian drumming, mask making and a grand finale parade for all to take part in!

Plus a games area, ice cream, face painting, stalls run by Friends of Queenscroft Park, Middle Park Community Centre, Metropolitan Police Youth Engagement Team, Eltham Library Reading Corner, Leslie’s crochet stall football skills with Charlton Athletic, a bar run by The Green Goddess pub and a raffle! Don’t forget to pack a picnic!

The Queenscroft Park Picnic is part of Summer in the Park, a Greenwich Dance and Arts Trust Productions project which is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, Royal Greenwich Festivals, Peabody and The Royal Parks.
