margomool: Described by Line of Best Fit as ‘convention-smashing’, margomool blurs boundaries between genres, gender, audience and performer. Since landing in the London jazz-ish scene in 2020, margo has featured in mixes by the likes of Jamz Supernova and Emma-Jean Thackray, and has found fans across the globe through the British Council’s Selector Radio. The genderqueer artist has taken their solo act and band project across the UK to stages such as Love Supreme, bringing the inclusive FYE Cypher jam along with them, making the audience part of the performance. For this performance margo will be fusing their solo electronic project with their live band to deliver a set of jazz-inspired breakbeat and house, layered with ethereal folk melodies that sing to queer existence.

Akin Soul: Born in Dallas, Texas, Akin Soul is a 21-year-old jazz and soul singer, multi-instrumentalist & songwriter based in South East London who plays keys, guitar and trombone. Raised on a diet of Marvin Gaye, Stevie, Quincy, Lalah & Donny Hathaway, Amy & Corinne Bailey Rae, in 2018 Akin founded the 12 piece band ‘Akin Soul & The Soul Tribe’. They have gone on to perform across London and at festivals including Glastonbury, We Out Here, Brainchild, Love Supreme, All Points East and The Great Escape.

Queer Jazz Series: Queer Jazz is a three part series and celebration of LGBTQIA+ jazz artists in London, hosted by Tina Edwards and Jelly Cleaver. Queer Jazz fosters community and gives a platform to both established and rising artists, through live music, jams and panels.
