Discover the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul at the Old Royal Naval College and unveil the centuries of history behind this wonderful piece of craftsmanship.

This is an audio-described tour for blind and partially sighted visitors. The tour is delivered by an expert tour guide who has been trained in audio-description by VocalEyes.

The tour will be followed by a workshop session in the Clore Learning Centre, where visitors will be able to explore the past and present lives of the Chapel and the Old Royal Naval College.

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Please meet in the Chapel Vestibule at 13:45. 

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.

Please note: access to the Chapel for wheelchair users is via a ‘Stairmate’, which is a manually driven machine which must be used by a qualified operator. The wheelchair and the wheelchair user are strapped into the machine and the whole machine is tilted to a 45° angle. The Stairmate is not suitable for electric scooters, although it is suitable for some electric wheelchairs. Stairmate specifications: weight limit 440lbs/200kg, maximum width 69.5cm (27”). For H&S reasons, the number of wheelchair users to the Chapel per tour is limited to 2. For visitors not using the Stairmate but requiring step free access to the front door of the Chapel, please get in touch with us to receive a step-free route map. Once you are inside the Chapel, there are 14 steps to access the main body of the Chapel.
