The Mini Marathon - Powered by Local Heroes* The Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice Mini Marathon has become THE running event every child wants to be part of! Taking place on Sunday 12 May in Royal Greenwich Park, by the famous London Marathon bandstand, it is a 2.62 mile sponsored fun run for children aged between 5 and 16 years old. * 2019 marks 25 years of the Hospice caring for local people in their own home, the Hospice and in hospital. The 25th anniversary is an incredible achievement and that’s thanks to the amazing people of Greenwich and Bexley who have given their support in a variety of different ways; they are ‘Local Heroes’ and the Mini Marathon is powered by little Local Heroes who raised more than £80,000 following last year’s event – such an fantastic amount! The Hospice has been providing care and support to local people for 25 years, and with the support of local people, they always will. Timings: • 9.15am arrival • 9.45am for the warm up • 10am the fun begins! Distance: 2.62 miles Location: Royal Greenwich Park, Charlton Way, London, SE10 8QY Age limits: 5 – 16 years. Please note children aged between 5 and 7 years old must run with a responsible adult Registration Fee: £7.50 per child, which includes a medal and a goody bag. As a special thank you, the lovely people at Bill’s Greenwich have kindly donated 20% off all food for all Mini Marathoners! T-shirts: £5.50 each (a limited number of T-shirts available) Maximum places: 1,800 Mini Marathon places are available. The event has sold out in the recent years, so by signing up super early you can guarantee that your child has a place in THE running event every child wants to be part of!
