Royal Greenwich Local Drug Information System (LDIS)

The Local Drug Information System (LDIS) is a public health initiative that helps us respond to drug-related risks in the borough.

You can use this service to tell us about drug-related incidents that have happened in your area.

Your reports help us monitor emerging threats, send timely alerts, and protect residents from serious harm.

By sharing what you see or hear, you help:

  • reduce harm in the community
  • alert health teams to contaminated or unusually strong drugs
  • prevent further overdoses and save lives

You can choose to tell us anonymously. You do not need to provide your contact or personal details.

What you can report

You can tell us about drug-related incidents like:

  • unexpected reactions to drug use for example, seizures, unconsciousness, intense sedation
  • suspected overdoses involving unfamiliar or strong drugs
  • unusual drug packaging or appearance
  • new or unknown pills, powders, liquids, or vape refills
  • any ongoing concerns

Before you start

When reporting a drug-related incident online, try to include as much detail as possible.

You may be asked to tell us:

  • whether you are reporting an overdose, death or general drug information
  • the type of drug (if known)
  • where the incident happened or where the drug was bought or used
  • what the drug looked like
  • the effects or symptoms observed
  • whether hospital treatment was required

You can also send a photo of the drug after you've submitted the form if you have one.

What happens after you report a drug related incident

We assess the report for urgency and public health risk within 24 hours of receiving it.

If needed, we’ll send alerts to local services or escalate the incident to regional or national health teams.
