The CDP is a group of organisations working together in the borough to carry out the government's National Drugs Strategy.
What the CDP does
We aim to combat illegal drugs and reduce drug-related harm in the community.
We work to understand and address the problems, based on what the local community needs.
We work with other relevant stakeholders when needed, and report back to central government on how we're doing.
Our priorities
We have 3 strategic priorities. These are to:
- break drug supply chains
- deliver a world-class treatment and recovery system
- reduce the demand for drugs
How we measure success
We use the 6 outcomes set out in the drugs strategy. These are to:
- reduce drug use
- reduce drug-related crime
