Outcome 2: Greenwich keeps meeting potential through regeneration
We will:
- shape the long-term regeneration of the borough’s riverside, town centres and brownfield land and lay the foundations for Thamesmead to grow into a thriving new town with strong transport links
- plan growth well and fairly by bringing new homes, jobs and investment, while benefiting existing communities and those to come
Our commitments
We commit to:
- guiding the delivery of thousands of homes for local people and making sure they are built to the highest quality standards
- protecting Greenwich’s environment, heritage, and green spaces
- creating visions for Abbey Wood, Woolwich and Plumstead that can drive development
- delivering regeneration projects including Woolwich Exchange, Charlton Riverside and the Waterfront Masterplan
- working with the government to deliver the DLR extension and the New Town in Thamesmead
