Flood risk guidance for developers
This helps developers make informed decisions and applications. It explains what we expect for assessments of flood risk for new or redevelopment.
It tells developers what we need when they submit:
- flood risk assessments
- flood warning and evacuation plans
- Surface Water Management (SuDS) arrangements
- land drainage (ordinary watercourse) consent applications
- drainage strategies
Appendix D gives advice on doing flood risk assessments to support small planning developments, including household extensions.
