Sometimes you need help to manage your mental health and wellbeing. This may be guidance, activities or talking to someone.

Where to get help

You can use the CALM mental health app to help manage stress, sleep and live a happier and healthier life. 

You can find activities and services on Young Greenwich.

It can also help to talk to a professional about your feelings and experiences. 

You can talk to: 

  • Kooth for counselling for 11 to 19 year olds
  • Greenwich Time to Talk to get counselling for 16 to 17 year olds
  • a Samaritans volunteer by calling 116 123 for free 24/7 telephone support
  • SHOUT - for free 24/7 support as a young person by texting ‘SHOUT’ to 85258. Or if you're a parent call the free helpline on 0808 802 5544.
  • Papyrus - for confidential support and advice for young people with thoughts of suicide call 0800 068 4141

Getting more help day-to day

Sometimes you may need mental health support for a longer period of time. For example if you have or are experiencing:

  • grief
  • domestic or sexual abuse
  • family challenges
  • financial challenges

If you need longer term support, you may be referred to children and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS).
