Completing the works
On the agreed completion date
Completion is by 4.30pm on the agreed works completion date.
You must reinstate the site to at least an interim state. This includes clearing equipment, such as barriers and plant.
If it's an interim reinstatement, you must:
- return to the site within 6 months to complete the permanent reinstatement
- inform us of your intention to return to site
- complete and return the 'closing notice' form to confirm the site measurements
Delays and overrunning
Under NRSWA legislation, we may apply financial charges for work overruns.
The amount we charge depends on the category of the street where the works are taking place.
Contact us as soon as possible if there are delays:
- to the work start date
- during the works that could cause them to overrun the planned completion date
When the works are complete
We'll make 2 further site inspections to make sure the works comply with NRSWA legislation. These inspections will happen within:
- 6 months of completion
- 6 months of the guarantee expiry date (the guarantee period is usually up to 2 or 3 years after the works completion date)
If we find any offences during these inspections, we may:
- apply penalties
- direct you to carry out remedial works
- choose to carry out the remedial works and charge you for the work
