When you need to change a DPS
You must change a DPS when your current DPS:
- no longer works at the premises
- has had their personal licence suspended
How to change a DPS
Complete the form to change a DPS on GOV.UK
You’ll also need to submit:
- a signed consent form of the designated premises supervisor
- a scan of your old licence (or explanation of why you cannot send it)
You can submit the form and pay the application fee of £23 electronically.
If you have a DPS, you must notify them immediately when:
- you apply to change a DPS
- your application to change a DPS is granted
You could face a fine of £1,000 if you do not notify them.
After you’ve requested the change
The police have 14 days if they want to object to the application.
If the police do not object, we’ll grant the application.
If the police do object, our Licensing Sub-Committee will hold a public hearing to make a decision on the application.
