The total amount of business rates due for the year is on the front of your bill.
Payment dates
Business rates are usually paid in 10 monthly instalments from April to January. Payments must reach us by the first of each month.
To request any other payment schedule, you need to complete our online Business rates enquiry form before the first instalment is due.
You can request to:
- pay over 12 months instead of 10
- make a single payment for the full year

Direct debit
This is the simplest and cheapest way to pay your bill if you have a bank or suitable building society account.

In person
Bring your bill to make payments at the Eltham Centre or the Woolwich Centre.
Post
Post us a cheque or postal order:
- made payable to 'Royal Borough of Greenwich'
- write your business rates account reference on the back
- post it to Business Rates, Royal Borough of Greenwich, The Woolwich Centre, 35 Wellington Street, Woolwich SE18 6HQ
We cannot accept post-dated cheques.
