How we score your application
We will assess your application against clear criteria. This makes sure that:
- funding is awarded fairly
- your festival delivers real benefit to local communities in the borough
- your festival offers good value for money
Application scoring
Your application will be scored out of 100 points.
Some answers will contribute more towards your total score than others.
Each criterion is scored as:
- 0 points: no evidence
- 1 point: unacceptable evidence
- 2 points: insufficient evidence
- 3 points: satisfactory evidence
- 4 points: good evidence
- 5 points: exceptional
Festival delivery and management
The maximum number of points you can get for festival delivery and management is 30 points.
We will assess:
- what you want to do and why
- your festival experience
- which artists or organisations you plan to work with and what they will do
Festival venues and locations
The maximum number of points you can get for festival venues and locations is 10 points.
We will assess what venues and locations you plan to use at your festival.
Marketing
The maximum number of points you can get for marketing is 10 points.
We will assess:
- how you will promote your project to attract your target audience
- your marketing and communication campaign
Equality, diversity and monitoring
The maximum number of points you can get for equality, diversity and monitoring is 10 points.
We will assess:
- how you will attract diverse participants and audiences at your festival
- how you will monitor and record this information
Culture strategy delivery
The maximum number of points you can get for culture strategy delivery is 20 points.
We will assess how young people will lead, design and produce to foster creativity at your festival, in response to the four principles:
Financial proposal
The maximum number of points you can get for financial proposal is 20 points.
We will assess:
- if your festival is good value for money
- how much you will spend
- your income
