We offer a specialist payroll service designed for schools and delivered by experienced payroll professionals. We’ll take full responsibility for all aspects of payroll delivery for maintained schools and academies.
Service details
Our comprehensive service offers a range of payroll functions and tasks.
Calculate and pay:
- staff salaries using BACS payments
- pay awards and arrears
- occupational and statutory benefits such as sick pay, maternity pay and paternity pay
- overtime, bonuses and expenses
Apply salary deductions:
- for both statutory and voluntary schemes
- to external agencies, such as HMRC, courts, unions, credit unions and Child Support Agency
- of rent and tax payments for properties we own or manage
Provide:
- full system back-up
- access to monthly payslips for all staff
- processing of the school master file, including amendments
- end-of-year process in line with legislation and local government policy and procedures
- responses to staff pay enquiries via phone and email
- liaise with external and government agencies
- links with other Council services
Access to a line manager self-service system that enables managers to:
- access to staff data, such as emergency contacts and key dates
- input of absence information
- reports and summaries of absence data
Use of an employee self-service system that enables staff to:
- view their personal data
- edit their address, contact details and sensitive information
- view payslips and P60s
