Overview
We offer person-centred counselling to pupils, parents and school staff to support their emotional and mental health.
How we work
Our team of qualified and final year trainee counsellors support pupils’ personal, academic, and social wellbeing. They work in close partnership with the school and collaborate with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
For every individual, we’ll:
- provide a safe and supportive environment to talk over difficult issues in confidence
- listen to their views, experiences and feelings without judgement
- create an atmosphere of respect and empathy based on a secure and trusted relationship
- allow them to lead the process at their own pace
- enable them to feel heard, valued, and accepted
- foster self-awareness and growth
- equip them to work through challenges in a way that feels empowering and authentic
A holistic approach to wellbeing
We work closely with our educational psychology and restorative practice colleagues. Together we offer a range of approaches to help improve outcomes for children and young people experiencing difficulties with:
- learning
- social and emotional development
- wellbeing
