Overview
We offer a specialist HR support service designed for schools and other education establishments. We also provide access to our occupational health provider and employee assistance programme.
With most of your school budget being spent on staff, it’s essential you have the right people, structures, policies and procedures in place. We can help you achieve that.
Our aim is to provide an HR service that enables the school to:
- optimise day-to-day activities

How we work
We’ll support you by:
- allocating an experienced HR advisor with specialist knowledge of school casework – they’ll get to know the school and tailor their approach accordingly
- providing HR advice by email, phone, virtual meetings and school visit, as appropriate

Representation and influence
We have influence within the education workforce sector through participation in national consultations and partnerships with national, regional and local organisations, such as:

- school leaders, governing bodies and diocesan bodies
- Local Government Association and Department for Education
When supporting schools with individual staff matters, we’ll work closely with other Council departments, such as Payroll, Pensions and Children's Services.
Costs
We charge:
- based on the number of staff in your establishment
- take your staff headcount from the school’s latest workforce census
- a minimum of £2,797
- £94 per staff member
We invoice schools on 1 April each year.
