Health and safety subscription service for schools

Overview 

We offer our health and safety service to all schools in Royal Greenwich. 

Our team of qualified and experienced staff can support your school to meet its statutory health and safety responsibilities. We’ll provide positive and proactive support to make sure your school is safe and healthy for everyone.

Service details 

Core package

Our core package includes access to: 

  • unlimited advice and support via phone, email or video call Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4pm
  • online portal that has resources, such as guidance, templates, policies and procedures
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) management system
  • a school audit service, health and safety improvement plan and audit verification visit
  • a review of your health and safety arrangements aimed at continuous improvement
  • display screen equipment (DSE) management system to support compliance in your school
  • statutory compliance advice and support
  • an online incident reporting system
  • support with incident management, including investigations and RIDDOR reporting
  • advice on supporting the needs of staff and pupils with health conditions, such as risk assessments and reasonable adjustments
  • support with health and safety-related legal or civil proceedings

Consultancy ‘pay as you go’ service 

Our ‘pay as you go’ consultancy service offers bespoke support that: 

  • is not provided within our core package
  • enhances our core package support
  • focuses on your schools specific priorities 

 The service includes, but is not limited to: 

  • review of fire risk assessment s and arrangements, emergency plans and the development of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEP)
  • undertaking health and Safety inspections and providing reports
  • event attendance to provide advice and support, including out-of-hours events 

It also includes, premises and workplace-related risk assessments or plans, such as: 

  • vehicle and pedestrian segregation on the premises
  • manual handling
  • working at height
  • work equipment, including personal protective equipment
  • lone working and personal safety
  • safe management of contractors 

How to sign up or renew

New customers 

We can start a new health and safety service contract with your school at any time of the year. Your first contract with us may cover a part-year period as our subscription period is from the 1 April to 31 March each year.

Existing customers

We’ll send you a renewal notice before the end of each subscription period. This will include the cost for the upcoming year and a copy of our service specification for you to review.  

Your subscription will automatically renew for the amount quoted unless you contact us before 31 March to cancel the subscription.
