School term dates

These dates apply to community nurseries, primary, secondary and special schools.

Term dates for academies, free schools and voluntary-aided schools will be similar, but you should check with the school.

Your child should attend school for 190 days (or 380 half sessions) during the school year.

Schools that close for local elections will extend the summer term or coincide it with an 'inset' day.
