Terms and conditions for football pitch bookings
By booking a football pitch, your club agrees to the following terms.
Match day responsibilities
- Stick to your kick-off time so that changing rooms are ready for afternoon games or park closure.
- Show your permit to the park ranger before the match and confirm the name of your opponent. In the event of this not happening, the team will not be allowed to use the pitch and no refund will be made.
Not allowed
- No casual or practice play on match pitches.
- No sub-letting of pitches to other clubs or individuals.
- Permits are non-transferable. Only the named club can use the allocated pitch.
Misuse or misconduct
- You will lose all future permits and fees paid if another team uses your permit.
- The club to whom the permit is issued will be responsible for the behaviour of both teams whilst at the ground.
- Poor behaviour by players, staff, or spectators can result in permit cancellation and forfeiture of your registration fee.
Pitch conditions and safety
- The Royal Borough’s officer in charge may prohibit play if they believe it will damage the pitch.
- If the match is cancelled due to pitch condition, your permit fee will be credited. In this case, the officer's decision will be final.
- You play at your own risk. The Royal Borough is not liable for injuries or loss of personal items.
- The secretary of each club shall agree on behalf of the club to release and indemnify the Royal Borough of Greenwich and its officers, servants or agents from and against all liability for personal injury (whether fatal or otherwise), loss or damage to property.
Equipment and facilities
- Clubs must bring their own nets and anchorage pegs.
- You can hire nets on site for £10 (paid with permit fee). A £30 refundable deposit is required.
- Clubs are responsible for setting up and removing nets.
Communication and club details
- All communications must come from the club secretary via email: parks@royalgreenwich.gov.uk
- If your club appoints a new secretary, let us know within 7 days.
Code of conduct and equality
- We are committed to a zero-tolerance policy on discrimination, harassment, or victimisation.
- We do not tolerate persecution of anyone because of his or her ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, income, employment status or religious belief.
- Any behaviour deemed in breach of this may result in sanctions under Regulation 8.
- No person employed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich is allowed to demand or accept any gratuity and members of clubs and their representatives shall not offer any such gratuity.
