Hire an e-bike

You can hire and unlock an e-bike using the Lime app.  

Hire is available across the borough to and from marked bays.

Operators are enforcing parking rules

E-bikes have GPS and geofencing, so your ride will only end in approved bays.

You could get a fine for bad parking and banned from hiring an e-bike if you repeatedly park irresponsibly.

Report a badly parked e-bike

Hire operators must remove any bike causing an obstruction. 

You’ll need to send details to the e-bike company. The company name should be on the e-bike. They’ll usually ask: 

  • for a photo of the bike 
  • where it is 
  • when you noticed it 
  • for the bike’s reference, for example, a plate number or QR code
